Set in the picturesque village of Scotlandwell, The Well Country Inn provides a friendly, comfortable base from which to visit the many attractions in the area. Good bar meals are available and good real ale on tap, served in the pleasant atmosphere of this attractive country hostelry.

We stayed 3 nights at The Well and were impressed - good location and good value for money. The rooms, albeit a bit old were comfortable, a good size and impeccably clean. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, the inn does good basic pub food and the breakfast is freshly cooked and highly recommended. The only down side is no internet in rooms and very poor TV reception & 3G so bring your own entertainment!

Stayed at Well Country Inn on our way home from Skye. Room was very good in seperate modern block away from pub, huge bed, full size bath and decent shower. All very clean and comfortable. Evening meal in restuarant good value and enjoyable, breakfast similarly offering well cooked food and a perfect start to the day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.I had travelled from Liverpool on a Friday evening, arrived around 10.40pm (having given prior notice) and was warmly welcomed by a very friendly and cheerful young lady.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff during my stay. The room was a spacious single, clean with an extremely comfortable bed.The breakfasts were delicious and the service was wonderful.I met some lovely people, locals and visitors alike.I would definitely stay here again without question.

My second stay at the Well Inn. Both times in the motel style rooms at the rear of the Inn car park which are quiet and convenient. Decor a little tired but clean and everything worked as it should and bed was comfortable. Had an evening meal which was excellent home cooking and good value in terms of quality and portions. Breakfast was also very good, proper caffetiere of coffee. Staff friendly and helpfull. I would recommend to anyone who wants a non snobby place to stay with good food.

Don't be put off by the funny smell on the stairs! Our room was clean, comfortable and great value for money. Good food in the bar, wish we could have stayed for breakfast. Overall a good place to stay for a short break.

This is a lovely, cared for traditional inn in a picturesque village. We had a beautiful lunch on arrival having been welcomed warmly and efficiently by Lorraine. Our room was well appointed and freshly decorated. As we met other staff (bar and Chef) our favourable impression of this being a welcome home from home grew.Breakfast was a real treat with my fry-up free from puddles of fat and with fresh mushrooms rather than the usual tinned version (both quite common even in Starred establishments).I was aware of other (tripadvisor) reviews being a mixed bag;perhaps the negative reviewers got there on a bad day? More likely they are the type for whom the wind is always in their face!Thankyou for a very relaxing and welcoming stay.

The Inn is in a delightful setting in Scotlandwell, one of the small villages on the road just above Loch Leven. The fresh well appointed rooms are comfortable and adequate parking is available. The staff are friendly and the hearty breakfast included fresh locally sourced produce. A well stocked gantry is complemented by a selection of real ales on tap in the welcoming cosy bar.

Fantastic B& B, cannot fault anything.Staff really made us feel welcome and went that extra mile.Food was lovely, especially the full Scottish breakfast!Would return again without any hesitation!

Excellent place where staff willing to voluntarily go the extra mile - literally! We were stuck for a taxi to go to family wedding ( already late and in inclement weather) and member of staff volunteered to take us to the wedding in her own car. Above and beyond and immensely appreciated.Similar story about flexibility around check-out time, with the offer of brunch at 1200 after recuperative sleep.Food and service were excellent. Would recommend WCI every time and excellent value for money.Room in outside cottages was clean and very comfortable.A great wee place and thanks all round.

Well, I enjoyed the hotel very much. The bar was very hospitable and well-priced.Later in the evening I did have a little trouble with the front door since the barrier door was closed and I didn't know about the side door until morning.Oh well!Breakfast was good so all's well.Maybe some soaps in the shower would be nice.Otherwise, excellent place to stay and very cost-effective.
